Welcome to the 2012 Arts Writers Grant application. You may apply for a grant in one of the five following project types: Article, Blog, Book, New and Alternative Media, and Short-Form Writing.

We strongly suggest you download and review the 2012 Application Guide [PDF] before beginning your application. This guide contains all the information you will need to prepare your application, in the following sections: Guidelines, FAQs, Information by Project Type, Writing Sample Instructions, and Application Checklist. (We have replicated this guide on this website; see the links above.)

You must use the online form to apply for the Arts Writers Grant. To access the application form, click on the link at the bottom of the page.

Once you open the online application, follow these steps:

• Create a 2012 user account
• Select a project type
• Fill out the required fields
• Attach writing sample PDFs
• Print and review application
• Submit
