Ilegvak’s “Water Protectors: Indigenous Art as Reimagination from the No Dakota Access Pipeline NoDAPL Movement” will examine works by Native artists and activists who have been a foundational part of the NoDAPL movement.

Ilegvak is a Yup’ik culture bearer, artist, designer, filmmaker, writer, activist, and educator. His writing on art, politics, Native rights, and environmental justice has appeared in publications including First Alaskans Magazine and Inuit Art Quarterly.
