Kelly Klaasmeyer is an art critic for the Houston Press and an editor for Glasstire.com, a Texas-based nonprofit online arts magazine that received first prize at the 2009 National Summit on Arts Journalism. As a freelance writer she has contributed to Art Lies, Cite: The Architecture and Design Review of Houston, Raw Vision, SPOT Magazine, and the St. Petersburg Times in Russia. She received the Lone Star Award of the Houston Press Club in arts and entertainment criticism for the state of Texas in 2004. Klaasmeyer was a 2009 USC Annenberg/Getty Arts Journalism Program Fellow and received an MFA degree in studio art from the University of Houston.
