Kristina Kay Robinson will write a series of articles on the aesthetic, environmental, and metaphysical connections among port cultures around the world, from New Orleans to Basra, Iraq; Marseille, France; and San Louis, Senegal.

Kristina Kay Robinson is a poet, writer, and visual artist. Her writing, visual, and curatorial practice centers and interrogates modern and ancient connections between world communities, with a focus on the societal impacts of globalization, militarism, and surveillance as they intersect with contemporary art and pop culture. Her writing has appeared in publications including Art in America, Burnaway, Guernica, The Baffler, The Nation, and the Massachusetts Review, as well as in the edited collection Track Changes: A Handbook for Art Criticism (n+1, 2023).
