Founded in 2007, Two Coats of Paint is a widely read art blog that features short commentary about current painting exhibitions, artist interviews, pointed responses to art criticism in the mainstream media, studio visits, and “quick study” reading lists. In the coming year, while continuing to publish the shorter posts the blog is known for, Butler will develop a series of longer, more rigorous comparative essays.
